pp. 13

Toothache is very common clinical condition seen in dental OPD in day to day practice. Treatment of toothache depends upon the cause and severity. Root canal therapy is one of the procedures used to treat the toothache. Use of local anesthesia during the procedure has several side effects. Local anesthetics are frequently administered in dentistry and thus can be expected to be a major source of drug-related complications in the dental office. Additionally, the dentist will more often be confronted with the treatment of risk patients; thus, the incidence of side effects can be expected to rise. Complications associated with the administration of the local anesthesia of all patients, 45.9% had at least one risk factor in their medical histories, with cardiovascular diseases and allergies being the most frequent. Additionally, doses of local anesthetics proved not to be strictly determined according to body weight, especially for patients weighing less than 50 kg.[1] To prevent these side effects of local anesthesia, homoeopathic medicines can be used to subside the pain during process of Root Canal Therapy (RCT). In this study, we tried Coffea cruda 30 a homoeopathic medicine in the cases of RCT to reduce pain.

Buffaloes share 44.1% of milk production in Maharashtra. Jafarabadi breed is highly rendered breed in western Maharashtra.(1) Lactation period in buffalo ranges from 295 to 300 days. Genetic and non-genetic factors affect lactation efficiency in buffalo.(2) National action plan of dairy development vision 2022 aims increase milk productivity throughout country. But we are facing challenges like low productivity of bovine and lack of preventive action against adulteration of milk and use of synthetic steroids as galactagogue i.e., oxytocin. It causes various deleterious effects like decrease fertility of cattle, excessive hemorrhage. The aim of this study was to observe effectiveness of Urtica urens 6C in increasing milk quantity in lactating Jafarabadi Buffaloes For 6 months from the same stable. Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a prevalent condition among women aged 40 to 80 years, significantly impacting their quality of life. Despite available conventional treatments, interest persists in alternative therapies like Homeopathy. This case series investigates the efficacy of Homeopathic interventions in managing SUI. Through consecutive sampling, with a total of 45 patients with clinically diagnosed SUI were recruited. Additionally, the study aimed to identify the most commonly prescribed remedy for this condition. Homeopathic medicines were administered based on symptom similarity. The Questionnaire for urine incontinence diagnosis (QUID) scale was used for diagnosis whereas Symptom Severity Score (SSS) Scale was utilized to evaluate the severity of SUI Before and after treatment. Thorough homeopathic consultations and personalized prescriptions led to significant reductions in SUI severity post-treatment, with mean score of SSS decreased from 7.8 before treatment to 5.3 after treatment. The findings of this study indicate that homeopathic medicines significantly help in controlling the cases of SUI.

Gout, a form of inflammatory arthritis, poses significant challenges in its management due to limited efficacy and adverse effects associated with conventional therapies. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Bacillus no.7, a probiotic agent, and individualized homeopathic medicine in the treatment of gout. A comparative interventional study was conducted on 46 patients diagnosed with gout, systematically assigned to two groups: Group A receiving individualized homeopathic medicine , Group B receiving Bacillus no. 7. ACR EULAR Criteria was utililized for screening the potential patients of gout. The primary outcome measures serum uric acid levels, assessed at baseline and follow-up visits over a period of 6 months. Secondary outcomes encompassed reduction in intensity of pain (using NPRS). Statistical analysis revealed significant improvements in pain intensity and serum uric acid levels in both intervention groups. However, significant difference was observed between Bacillus no.7 and individualized homeopathic medicine groups in terms of efficacy. Furthermore, both interventions demonstrated a favorable safety profile with minimal adverse effects. Overall, our findings suggests that individualized homeopathic medicine may offer promising alternative therapeutic options for managing gout as compared to Bacillus no.7, warranting further investigation into their mechanisms of action and long-term effects.[1][4]

Halitosis or breath odor is defined as an unpleasant or offensive odor emanating from the mouth In the general population, halitosis has a prevalence ranging from 50% in the USA to between 6% and 23% in China, and a recent study had revealed a prevalence of self- reported halitosis among Indian dental students ranging from 21.7% in males to 35.3% in females. The homoeopathic studies on halitosis are very much limited and thus the research wants to know the importance of homoeopathic management in cases of halitosis. Aim and Objectives: This research aimed primarily to explore the efficacy of Individualized Homoeopathic Medicine in cases of Halitosis of age group 3 to 18 years. The secondary objectives is to know the prevalence and to find out the most commonly indicated homeopathic medicine. Materials and Methods: A thorough case-taking process, guided by Homoeopathic principles, was conducted on 45 participants having halitosis. The Organoleptic Scale was utilized to gauge halitosis. Indicated Homoeopathic medicines were prescribed based on symptom totality. Regular assessments, follow-ups, and statistical analysis using t-tests and Microsoft Excel were integral components of the methodology. Results: The result reveals 80% participants shown improvement in halitosis after homoeopathic intervention while 20% shown resistant to the improvement and statistically the study is highly significant as collected t value (13.33) exceeded the table t value of 2.02 at 5% significance. Conclusion: The study found that the indicated homoeopathic medicines exhibited a notable effect in ameliorating the halitosis, assessed by organoleptic scale of age group 3 to 18 years.
