Japanese Encephalitis (JE) is a serious viral disease affecting millions of people, particularly children, in several Asian countries including India. The absence of effective antiviral therapy and concerns about adverse effects of existing vaccines highlight the need for alternative therapeutic approaches. This study investigated the effect of ultradiluted preparations of Belladonna (3, 6, 30, and 200 potencies) on Japanese Encephalitis virus infection using the chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) model. Fertile embryonated hen eggs were inoculated with JE virus (Nakayama strain) followed by the administration of ultradiluted Belladonna preparations. Viral growth was assessed by observing pock formation on the CAM after incubation. The results demonstrated a significant reduction in pock counts in the presence of Belladonna preparations compared to virus control groups, indicating decreased viral activity. The findings suggest that ultradiluted Belladonna may inhibit viral growth, possibly due to the action of calystegines, glycosidase inhibitor compounds present in Atropa belladonna. These compounds may interfere with viral glycoprotein processing and replication. The study indicates a potential role of ultradiluted Belladonna in reducing JE virus infection, although further research is required to understand the exact mechanism and confirm its clinical relevance.

Effect of Homeopathy in Reflux Diseases in Pediatrics
Gastroesophageal reflux is a common condition in infants and young children that often leads to persistent crying, regurgitation, and feeding difficulties. This article discusses the role of homeopathy in managing reflux diseases in pediatric patients. Reflux occurs when stomach contents flow back into the esophagus, sometimes resulting in complications such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The condition may manifest through symptoms such as vomiting, irritability, poor feeding, and in some cases silent reflux where vomiting is not visibly present. The paper highlights the importance of ruling out serious medical conditions before initiating treatment and emphasizes supportive care for parents coping with the stress of caring for a constantly crying infant. It also explores possible contributing factors such as lactose intolerance and poor gut health, recommending dietary adjustments and probiotics as supportive measures. The article further presents several homeopathic remedies including Natrum Phos, Magnesium Phos, Aethusia, Phosphorus, Lycopodium, Silicea, Kali Carb, and Bryonia, which are selected based on the individual symptoms of the child. These remedies are suggested to help neutralize stomach acid, relieve digestive discomfort, and improve overall gastrointestinal function. The study emphasizes individualized treatment and holistic management to provide relief to infants suffering from reflux while also supporting parental well-being.
