Background: Home sickness is the distress or impairment caused by an actual or anticipated separation from home. Symptoms of both depression and anxiety are frequently reported by sufferers, along with withdrawn behavior and trouble focusing on things unrelated to their homes. In its mildest form, homesickness drives positive attachment behaviours, such as reestablishing contact with loved ones, and encourages the development of coping mechanisms (1). Homesickness may place individuals at risk for poor adjustment outcomes, such as emotional and social difficulties (1) In the present study we take approach to examine weekly levels of homesickness and to study the effectiveness of homoeopathic management against counseling alone in cases of homesickness. The present study also addresses two main questions. First do homeopathic medicines reduces symptoms across 24 weeks? Also, how counseling reduces symptoms of Homesickness over 24 weeks. The current study extends previous work in several ways. We will examine individual homesickness using assessment (Questionnaire for homesickness) The present study advances the past work on homesickness by using a comparative method of study to find out the effects of homoeopathic management in contrast to counseling alone. Objectives:1) Primary objective-To access the comparison of homoeopathic management versus counseling with placebo in Homesickness. 2) Secondary objective– To evaluate the reduction of symptoms using John archer questionnaire scale of homesickness

A review of the utility of BBCR in management of osteoarthritis

Dr. Dipalee Badgujar, Dr.Ashwani Kumar

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most prevalent musculoskeletal disorder worldwide, characterized by cartilage degeneration, synovial inflammation, osteophyte formation, and narrowing of joint space, leading to pain and disability. Dr. Ashwani Kumar Pankaj conducted an open‑label, single‑arm clinical study at M.N. Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute, Bikaner, to evaluate the utility of Boger Boenninghausen’s Characteristic Repertory (BBCR) in the management of OA. A total of 100 radiographically confirmed cases, aged 35–90 years, were included over a 12‑month period, with exclusions for pregnancy, other joint diseases, and immunocompromised states. Outcome assessment was based on the Numerical Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) and follow‑up of associated complaints. Results showed that 89 patients experienced mild to marked improvement, while 11 cases remained unchanged. The study concluded that individualized homoeopathic prescriptions guided by BBCR significantly reduced pain and improved functional outcomes in OA patients. The findings highlight the practical utility of BBCR in clinical management, though the rationale for the study design was not clearly articulated.

Coordinated by the Departments of Human Physiology & Biochemistry and Pathology, the camp involved faculty members and BHMS students. The initiative began with a prayer, followed by systematic screening using Google forms prepared by IV BHMS students during their weekly survey. Pamphlets were distributed to raise awareness, and patients were referred to the camp for haemoglobin estimation and blood grouping. A total of 353 responses were collected through the survey, and 27 patients benefitted directly from blood investigations at the camp. The programme successfully combined academic participation with community service, highlighting the importance of early detection and awareness of anaemia in the local population.
