Vaishali Zodgekar, Sahar Motiwala, Dushant Gosavi, Chaitanya Vaidya

Muscular dystrophies are group of genetic diseases of muscles. The commonest is Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy, prevalence been 1:3500 live male births. Disease manifests at approximately 4years of age with the symptoms like clumsy walking, difficulty in standing, and respiratory failure. Life expectancy is about 20years [1]. There is no specific treatment for curing this disease. Homoeopathy, however, provides a better response in such conditions; one such case report is been presented below. Patient attended outpatient department (OPD) chiefly for complaints of weakness of both the lower limbs, difficulty in walking & falling down frequently. Complaints had increased since last 1 year. Occasionally patient experienced pain in both lower limbs. Dissatisfied with the outcome after taking treatment with modern medicine, patient turned to homoeopathic treatment. After detailed case-taking and repertorization ,he recieved Cina 200 followed by Rhus Tox 200 and Rhus Tox 1M.Along with homoeopathic medicines patient continued with physiotherapy and naturopathy. Within two months of treatment, the patient showed significant improvement in his symptoms and biochemical parameters.

Vikram Saini

Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) is a complex metabolic, endocrine and reproductive disorder affecting approximately 5-10% of the female population in developed countries. It is an emerging health problem in young females characterized by ovarian dysfunction and hyperandrogenium.(1) According to new study in Gynecologic Oncology women having PCOD may be at greater risk of developing some type of cancer if left untreated. Existing information indicates a positive role of homoeopathy in PCOD. The case reported here is that of PCOD in 34 years female who was treated with homoeopathic medicine shows effectiveness of homeopathy.

Miasmatic expression in Leucorrhoea

Sonali Netawate

Leucorrhea is a thick whitish, yellowish or greenish discharge from the vagina of the female that may be normal or that may be a sign of infection. It is mucus discharge which represents desquamation of vaginal epithelial cell because of the effects of the Estrogen on the vaginal mucosa. It is important to distinguish leucorrhoea from pathological discharge. A study aimed to the females presenting leucorrhoea is more likely to be normal or infectious. Homoeopathy has a significant role in treatment of leucorrhoea.

Efficacy Of Homeopathic Medicines As An Add On Therapy In Reducing The Intensity Of Autistic Features In Children Suffering From Autism Spectrum Disorder; A Case Series

Dr. Priyanka Shelke

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder of behavior that presents in childhood. It is a clinically heterogeneous disorder of behavior, characterized by two features - (1) impairment in social communication and interaction and (2) repetitive patterns of behavior. The diagnosis is essentially clinical and is based primarily on history-taking and observation of the child over a period. There are several standardized screening tools and scales available to help make a diagnosis. Children with autism often present with speech delay and this has to be distinguished from other conditions. ASD is often associated with comorbid conditions which have to be identified to tailor the treatment program for each child. It is important that the parents or caretakers of the child are involved in the process of assessment and diagnosis and that their misconceptions and fears are addressed.
