5 publicationsStudy of efficacy of homoeopathic medicines in management of psoriasis cases treated after 2018: A retrospective study
Psoriasis is a common, chronic and non-infectious skin disease characterized by well defined slightly raised, dry erythematous macules with silvery scales and typical extensor distribution. Objective: The effect of homoeopathic treatment in cases of psoriasis studied in age group 10-60 for 6 months. Prevalence of psoriasis in both males and females. Design: A Retrospective observational study. Psoriasis Area Severity Index scale (PASI) were used for evaluating cases. Material and method: 45 patients were selected for the present study on the basis of clinical sign and symptoms of psoriasis. To assess the cases improvement psoriasis area severity index scale were applied. The study include patient taking treatment from 2018.Result: Homeopathic medicine were found to reduce the PASI score in patient. Conclusion: Hence, homoeopathic medicine is effective in psoriasis when studied in age group 10- 60 in both sexes. Out of 45 cases 91% cases are improving, 6.66% cases are not improved and 2.2% cases are improved.
Utility of second prescription in chronic disease using MONARCH : A Case Series.
Chronic diseases have a gradual onset, slow progress, derange the living organism in their own peculiar manner, if not treated. These cases need a series of medicines in order to restore the health and general wellbeing of the patient. Hence second prescription is utmost important in chronic diseases hence, practical knowledge related to it must be obtained by every homeopathic physician. The MONARCH is a tool used to evaluate the likelihood of causal attribution of homeopathic treatment to clinical outcome. Objective: To understand the clinical utility, effect and frequency of different varieties of second prescription along with the use of MONARCH tool. Design: This is a case series study of chronic diseases to understand the utility, effect and frequency of second prescription using MONARCH tool for evaluation of cases. Materials and methods: 45 cases with chronic diseases were studied from OPD over a period of 6 months, the response of the patient to first prescription was analysed and second prescription was made, evaluation of outcome and treatment was done using MONARCH and the utilityand frequency of each type of second prescription was studied.Result:There was improvement in 41 cases out of 45 cases with MONARCH score above 6 and repetition of the same medicine [115 times], was observed to be the most frequently type followed by placebo, [ 88 times] and change of potency [29 times], change of remedy [14 times], complimentary remedy [7 times] and intercurrent remedy [3 times] respectively.
Analyzing common causes of stress amongst 18 to 25 years age group in post Covid time: An exploratory Survey
Stress affects most population emotionally as well as physically. Sources of stress includes academics, occupational, financial, social and physiological changes. Sometimes stress persist in spite of resources, regular relaxation practices. Objective: To screen the youth for analyzing various sources and levels of their stress. Materials and Method: By using ISMA stress questionnaire. Results: The common causes of stress were: academic stress- 17 cases (37.77%); career stress - 8 cases (17.77%); familial stress - 8 cases (17.77%); assumed responsibility stress - 2 cases (4.44%); stress related to relationships & past events- 9 cases (20%); stress about health- 1 case (2.22%). Which shows the academic stress is present more in youths. Conclusion: Once identifying the stressors in day to day life, by choice of integrated mode of therapy like homoeopathy, counseling etc. one can reduce the levels of stress. Mechanism to cope up with such stress will improve the functioning ability of the youth which will be having great impact on their productivity.
Effectiveness of Urtica urens 6C in increasing milk quantity in lactating Jafarabadi buffaloes for 6 months from the same stable: An observational study.
Buffaloes share 44.1% of milk production in Maharashtra. Jafarabadi breed is highly rendered breed in western Maharashtra.(1) Lactation period in buffalo ranges from 295 to 300 days. Genetic and non-genetic factors affect lactation efficiency in buffalo.(2) National action plan of dairy development vision 2022 aims increase milk productivity throughout country. But we are facing challenges like low productivity of bovine and lack of preventive action against adulteration of milk and use of synthetic steroids as galactagogue i.e., oxytocin. It causes various deleterious effects like decrease fertility of cattle, excessive hemorrhage. The aim of this study was to observe effectiveness of Urtica urens 6C in increasing milk quantity in lactating Jafarabadi Buffaloes For 6 months from the same stable. Using cluster sampling technique, a sample of 30 healthy lactating, Jafarabadi buffaloes who had not yet received oxytocin injections were studied for 6 months. Pilot study for 15 days capturing the yield before administration of the medicine. For a total of six months, 15-day admission cycles of the medication and a placebo were repeated. After analyzing all data in SPSS, the results indicate that Urtica urens 6C is effective in boosting lactation efficiency in lactating Jafarabadi buffaloes
A comparative study of effectiveness of Cynodon dactylon mother tincture along with homoeopathic indicated medicine and homoeopathic indicated medicine alone in cases of menorrhagia in the age group of 15 – 55 years
Menorrhagia comes under Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB). AUB means any deviation in normal uterine cycle refers to abnormally heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding that exceeds the typical flow more than 80ml and duration. It can lead to severe discomfort, disruption of daily activities. Rationale of study: Menorrhagia is one of the major / main cause why women of different age group attend gynecological consultant. It affects women living in developed as well as developing countries. It is not only life threatening but also have huge effect on personal, social ,family and work life of women and reduce quality of life .So here it is attempt to study effectiveness of Cynodon dactylon in treating menorrhagia along with homoeopathic indicated remedy. Aim: To study the difference in effectiveness of Cynodon dactylon mother tincture along with homoeopathic indicated medicine and homoeopathic indicated medicine alone in cases of menorrhagia in the age group of 15 – 55 years. Objective : Primary objective – To compare effectiveness of Cynodon dact. Mother tincture along with homoeopathic indicated medicine and homoeopathic indicated medicine alone in cases of female suffering from complaints of menorrhagia in the age group of 15 – 55 years . Secondary objective –Improve quality life of female of age group of 15- 55 years suffering from complaint of menorrhagia. Material and methods : 46 patients enrolled in the study with the help of menorrhagia assessment scale and clinical diagnosis. Detailed case taking of 2 groups were done. Group 1- received Cynodon mother tincture along with homoeopathic indicated medicine and Group 2 - received homoeopathic indicated remedy alone . Quality of life scale was also used before the commencement of treatment . 6 follow ups where taken after medication again menorrhagia assessment scale score was obtained along with quality of life scale. Result : There is difference in effectiveness of Homoeopathic medicine Cynodon dactylon Mother tincture along with homoeopathic indicated medicine and homoeopathic indicated medicine alone in reducing the complaint of menorrhagia in female in age group of 15 to 55 years. After studying 23 cases of Group A i.e. Cynodon mother tincture with homoeopathic indicated medicine- 19 cases are improved and 4 cases are not improved. After Studying 23 case of group B i.e. Homoeopathic indicated medicine- 18 cases are improved and 5 cases are not improved. Conclusion : According to the study, we conclude that Homoeopathic medicine Cynodon dactylon mother tincture along with homoeopathic indicated medicine is more effective than homoeopathic indicated medicine alonein treatment of menorrhagia.
