Hemorrhoidal disease is one of the most common anorectal conditions encountered in daily practice by general practitioner, general surgeon and gastrointestinal surgeons. Homoeopathy ranks the most popular among the traditional, complementary or alternative medicines. homoeopathic literature shows anecdotal data on the usefulness of homoeopathic medicine in haemorrhoids although remarkable cure of Haemorrhoids with homoeopathic medicines in casual clinical experiences has been noted. Objective: The main objective of this research work was to study the effect of homeopathic medicines in reducing severity of symptoms in cases of internal Haemorrhoids. The second objective was to find out the most common homoeopathic medicines in cases of internal Haemorrhoids. Method: The study was based on case series study. After identification of participants we have done full case study of the patient and homoeopathic indicated medicine was prescribed to all patient. Result: Out of 30 cases in our sample size 1 recovered, 23 improving and 6 not improved with indicated homeopathic medicine. Conclusion: A study was conducted on 30 patients on the topic of internal haemorrhoids. Patients was collected from M(N)HMC OPD. We have done full case taking of the patients and homoeopathic indicated medicine was prescribed. We have symptom severity scale in our research on the basis of which we have done scoring of the patient and we have reached to the conclusion that 1 patient was recovered, 23 patients were improving and 6 not improv out of 45 patients and our null hypothesis was rejected.

Background: Addiction is a chronic relapsing condition marked by obsessive drug seeking and use despite negative effects.(1) The use of tobacco increases the chance of developing several chronic diseases, including cancer, lung disease, cardiovascular disease, and stroke. Aim: To study the efficacy of Plantago Major Mother Tincture in tobacco de-addiction in age group above 15 years including both male and female. Objectives: Primary objective: To study the efficacy of Plantago Major Mother Tincture in tobacco de-addiction. Secondary objective: To study the tobacco (Nicotine) dependency by using Fagerstrom Nicotine Dependence Scale after administration of plantago major mother tincture. (14) Materials and Methods: Case series study was done among 30 subjects with Tobacco addiction randomly selected from M (N)HMC OPD and peripheral camps. Status of addiction of subjects was measured with Fagerstrom Nicotine Dependence scale. Plantago major mother tincture was administered. Result: Statistical analysis was done using Paired t test. Out of 30 patients, efficacy of plantago major Ø is seen in 24 patients (80%) and frequency & dependency remains same in 6 patients (20%). Conclusion: According to statistics of nicotine addiction calculated before and after intervention of plantago major Ø for dependency gives the t value of 7. Hence, we concluded that Plantago Major Mother Tincture is effective in management of Tobacco de-addiction.

A comparative study of Abroma augusta mother tincture with oral hypoglycaemic drugs and patient with oral hypoglycaemic drug alone in Type 2 Diabetes mellitus

Diabetes has a significant and growing disease burden in every country, owing to the global growth in obesity and poor lifestyles. Abroma Augusta Mother tincture as add on therapy can give better results in management of Diabetes Mellitus type II, as per the Homoeopathic Literature. OBJECTIVE: Primary objective: To study if there is any significant difference in the effectiveness of management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus between two groups Group A: Abroma Augusta Ø along with Oral Hypoglycaemic Agents (OHA). Group B: Only OHA. Secondary objective: To evaluate the changes in the HbA1c level in Type 2 DM patients after the intervention of Abroma Augusta Ø. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 46 subjects of Type II DM were included in the study based on convenience sampling following inclusion and exclusion criteria. This was pre-test and post-test study of HbA1c of patients for 6 months, along with FBS. Intervention of Abroma Augusta Ø was made along with their regular OHA. The data was statistically analyzed using unpaired‘t’ test RESULT: Table value of t for 45 degrees of freedom is 2.02 at 5% (0.05) level of significance. Calculated value of t = 2.48 is greater than the table value at 5% level of significance. After the study we saw that Abroma Augusta Ø along with OHA was more effective in reducing the symptoms of the patient as compared to oral hypoglycaemic agents alone. CONCLUSION: According to the study, we conclude that Abroma Augusta Ø along with OHA is effective in reducing HbA1c of type 2 DM patients
