Background: Motion sickness is an ill feeling, a common problem in people traveling by car, boat, train, and plane or while on amusement rides. Motion sickness can be triggered by rocking in a boat, air turbulence in an airplane, being in the back seat of a car unable to see the horizon, reading in the car. Objectives: To study the comparative efficacy of cocculus indicus and homoeopathic indicated medicine in motion sickness, in the age group between 10-55 years. To find out the most commonly Homoeopathic Indicated Medicine. Material and Method: A thorough case-taking process, guided by the homeopathic principle, comparative study was done. Patients recruited were assessed as per the MSAQ scale and Homoeopathic medicines were prescribed based on the law of simila. Regular assessments, follow-up, and statistical analysis using t-tests. (paired and unpaired).Result: The results show that there is difference in effectiveness of Cocculus Indicus & Homeopathic Indicated Medicine in cases of Motion Sickness so, our alternative hypothesis was accepted. We rejected the null hypothesis at 5% I.O.S.since calculated value of t(4.56) is greater than table value of t(2.07).Conclusion: The study found that homoeopathic indicated medicine shown more improvement in the cases of motion sickness than the cocculus indicus based on the MSAQ(Motion Sickness Assessment Questionnaire).

Homoeopathic management in a case of massive spleenomegaly with multiple enlarged gastric lymph nodes – (suspected of myloproliferative disorder)

Dr. Sarang rahalkar

Myeloproliferative disorders (MPD) are types of blood cancer caused by changes in the stem cells in which number of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets increases abnormally in the bone marrow. Current treatments are Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation, targeted drugs, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This is a case of a lady, 54years old presented at Astha Homoeopathic Clinic with complaints of numbness, heaviness, tenderness and dull aching pain at left hypochondriac region. Investigations showed massive enlargement of spleen up to 20.5cm and multiple enlargements of lymph nodes suspected as Myeloproliferative disorder (Chronic myeloid leukaemia). There was also hepatomegaly and dilated portal vein(1.5cm). The patient was interviewed in detail according to Hahnemannian Homoeo Forum [HHF] method where emphasis was given on the personality, the concern, adaptation and psychodynamic understanding of the disease to select the similimum. The homoeopathic treatment resulted in gradual resolution of the enlarged spleen from 20.5cm to 11.3cm. Hepatomegaly was resolved. Enlarged pre and para aortocaval lymph nodes also regressed after 3-4 months. The case demonstrated effectiveness of standardised homoeopathic treatment selected on the basis of individuality in order to restore health with good quality of life in rapid and gentle way even in the grave pathology.

Significance of Homoeopathic Medicines in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Road Traffic Accident (RTA) survivors; Experimental, nonrandomized, uncontrolled study

Ms.Pranjal Patil, Ms.Drushti Patel, Ms.Meraj Khan, Dr.Shweta Patil, Dr. Sonali Rohom

Background:Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating mental health condition that can develop in individuals who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events, such as road traffic accidents (RTAs). This research article explores the significant role of homeopathy in the management and treatment of PTSD among RTA survivors. PTSD is characterized by a complex interplay of symptoms, including intrusive thoughts, nightmares, hyperarousal, and emotional numbing, often leading to impaired functioning and a diminished quality of life. Objectives: 1st objective was to evaluate the role of homoeopathic medicines in treating the cases of post traumatic stress disorder in road traffic accident survivors and 2nd objective was to find out the most commonest indicated homoeopathic medicines in treating cases of PTSD in RTA survivors. Methods: This was an experimental, nonrandomized, uncontrolled study which was carried out on the participants who have been diagnosed with PTSD after RTA. A structured questionnaire regarding symptoms of PTSD was filled out by participants. Participants of any gender and of any age were included and participants with grave pathology and suffering from any mental disease were excluded. Paired t-test was applied to measure the PTSD checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5) with Life Events Checklist for DSM-5 (lec-5) and Criteria A Part 3 scale score. Results: 50 participants took part in the study. 94% (n=47) showed improvement and 6% (n=3) showed no improvement. 94%(n=47) participants noticed considerable changes in their health condition after taking homoeopathy and after following advice given to them and 6% (n=3) didn’t notice any change. After applying the paired t-test the calculated t value came to be as 12.97 which is greater than table t-value that came as 2.01 and the two tailed p value came less than 0.0001, by conventional criteria, this difference is considered to be extremely significant. Conclusion: According to above result we conclude that Homoeopathic Medicines in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Road Traffic Accident (RTA) Survivors are Effective.

DR. Yogeshwari Gupta, Dr. Nitiksha Sharma

Eczema is a chronic skin condition. The global prevalence of eczema is 2.3% for both sexes. The word "eczema" refers to the eczematous character of this illness, which manifests as blister development, serous leaking, rusting, erythema, and scaling. It may affect individuals in their adult years. Calcarea carbonicum is the great Hahnemanian anti-psoric remedy. Calcarea is one of the homoeopathic remedy which has to be chosen for the various dermatological cases based on individualization. Calcarea carbonicum may be considered when constitutional symptoms accompany eczema. Homoeopathic remedies were based on numerous experiments and validation. "Homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine that follows certain principles to treat a person." This case study helps to enhance our knowledge of treating the individual who is suffering from dermatological difficulties in which eczematous eruptions is the one. This study could be beneficial during practising and provided us with a way to approach Calcarea Carbonium. Homoeopathy relies on the best possible treatment and the expertise of the treating physician.

The patients who were selected underwent detailed case recording and case processing as per the format of our study. Further regular six follows were taken at a regular interval. In the last follow up again the MCS score was taken to assess the outcome of the study either changes. After that result was drawn with the help of statistical analysis. Result: Total 46 patients were assessed we found 40 (88.8%) cases were improved and 5 (11.11%) cases were not improved. As per consideration of people with memory complaints we have concluded that homeopathic indicated medicines are effective in treatment of memory complaints. Significant difference (t-0.05=2.02, <t=5.49) using paired t-test.Was observed at the end of study. Natrum muriaticum, Phosphorus, Lycopodium clavatum, Sulphur, Calcarea carbonicum were found to be the most useful medicine in treating memory complaints. Status of addiction of subjects was measured with Fagerstrom Nicotine Dependence scale. Plantago major mother tincture was administered. Result: Statistical analysis was done using Paired t test. Out of 30 patients, efficacy of plantago major Ø is seen in 24 patients (80%) and frequency & dependency remains same in 6 patients (20%). Conclusion: According to statistics of nicotine addiction calculated before and after intervention of plantago major Ø for dependency gives the t value of 7. Hence, we concluded that Plantago Major Mother Tincture is effective in management of Tobacco de-addiction.
