Homoeopathy and Cancer: An Alternative Approach towards the path of Healing

Dr.Yogeshwari Gupta and Dr.Stuti Rastogi
4/4/2026
pp. 47-50

Homoeopathy is a holistic system of medicine rooted on the principle of “Similia Similibus Curentur”. It has gained attention for its potential therapeutic benefits. It offers a holistic approach that addresses both the physical symptoms and emotional well-being of individuals. While this alternative approach of healing has been explored in various health contexts, a notable gap remains in understanding its application in the realm of cancer care. This review seeks to fill this void by exploring the broader landscape of homoeopathy’s principles and applications. Through a critical examination of existing research and evidence, it aims to offer valuable insights into the potential role of homoeopathy as a complementary approach in cancer care and symptomatic relief. This review underscores the need for further research and a more nuanced understanding of homoeopathy’s place in healthcare, particularly in the context of cancer patients and their well being.

Role of Homoeopathic Medicines for improving The Quality-Of-Life in Cancer patients under Palliative care: A Literature Review

Dr. Shweta Yadav
4/2/2026
pp. 50-61

Cancer remains a major global health concern, with an estimated 19.3 million new cases reported worldwide in 2020. Conventional treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, although effective, are often associated with significant adverse effects that impact patients’ quality of life (QoL). Increasingly, patients are exploring complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), including homoeopathy, as supportive care. Homoeopathy, based on the principle of “like cures like,” aims to stimulate the body’s self-healing mechanisms through individualized treatment. Evidence suggests that adjunctive homoeopathic care may help alleviate treatment-related side effects and improve QoL in cancer patients. This review highlights the role of homoeopathy as a complementary approach in cancer management, emphasizing its potential benefits in enhancing patient well-being alongside conventional therapies.
