Hypersomnia or Hypersomnolence is an inability to stay awake and alert during major waking episodes, resulting in periods of irrepressible need for sleep or unintended lapses into drowsiness or sleep. It is a neurobiological disorder where there is a disparity between sleep inducing and alertness promoting neurotransmitter which can be evaluated using ESS scale. Hypersomnia may impact on the day-to-day activities of an individual. Treating this disorder by conventional line of treatment may be expensive whereas, homoeopathic treatment might be cost-effective. This study shows the effectiveness of Nash Trio of sleepiness to manage the cases of Hypersomnia. • Objective: To study effectiveness of Nash trio of sleepiness in management of hypersomnia in the age group of 15 to 35 years. To identify the most commonly used homoeopathic medicine of Nash trio of sleepiness in our study. • Materials and method: This study includes a case series of 45 cases prescribed with Antimonium Tartaricum, Nux Moschata and Gelsemium i.e., the remedies of Nash trio of sleepiness on the basis of Leaders in homoeopathic therapeutics by E. B. Nash. The study was conducted in M(N)HMC opd, D. N. Patil High School and Jr. college and Siddeshwar Clinic, Malegaon. Paired T test was done to analyze the results statistically. • Result: Out of 45 cases, 88.89% showed improvement while 11.11% cases were not improved. • Conclusion: Nash Trio of sleepiness is effective in managing the cases of hypersomnia.

Emotional stress may be defined as response to a negative change in a child’s life but, excessive stress can affect the way a child thinks, act and feels. As per the epidemiology, the orphan-hood condition is very much prevalent in the children deprived of parental support, love and affection. In the orphan house the individual attention is rare as other children are also housed at same place, thus it becomes important to study the emotional status of these children. In this study we would like to see the role of homoeopathic medicines in emotional status. Keywords – Emotional stress, Children s Emotional Management Scale, Homoeopathy. Objective- Primary objectives –To identify the effectiveness of homoeopathic medicines in the problem of emotional stress in the orphan children using scale. Secondary objectives –To assess the problems of emotional stress in children aged 5 to 15 years in the orphanage using the scale. Study Design – Prospective Case series. Materials and Method – 15 children from the Adharashram with emotional stress were recruited and followed up for minimum period of 6 months. Children’s Emotional Management Scale (CEMS) was used for the assessment of emotional status of the children. According to the screening criteria 15 students were selected for the study. Trained homoeopathic physician prescribed individualised homoeopathic similimum and again the patient were evaluated for the improvement of emotional status on CEMS. Result –After prescribing homoeopathic medicines in children having emotional stress, we found out that 87% of the cases are improved and 13% of the cases are not improved. N is equal to no. of cases (n=15), whereas d represents differences of pre and post score(d=134), d bar equals to sum of difference divided by no. of cases which came as=8.93, sum of difference(S) is root of pre and post score divided by no. cases minus one which came as 4.55. The SE of difference is dum of difference divided by root of no. of cases which came to be 1.17. Test statistics mean difference divided by SE, which is 7.63. Further our T value is greater than the table value of t (2.15). Hence, we accept the hypothesis that Homoeopathic medicines is effective in coping the emotional stress in orphan children of age group of 5-15 years. Conclusion – According to our study, homoeopathic medicines were effective in coping emotional stress in orphan children. The population under study were screened and it was found that 73% (anger – 20%, sadness- 6.6%, worry- 3%) of the children aged 5-15 years suffer from emotional stress in the orphanage, according to the CEMS scale. Hence, emotional stress is prevalent condition in the studied population.

Secondary objective - What are similimum & frequently used homoeopathic medicine of poor performance in academics of students? Materials and Methods: This study includes a Randomized control trail of 20 cases prescribed Constitution medicines and biochemic medicine Kali phos 6X on homoeopathic principles basis. The study was conducted in Motiwala (National)Homoeopathic Medical College and Motiwala Physiotherapy College, Nashik. Unpaired t test was done to analyze the result statistically. Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a prevalent condition among women aged 40 to 80 years, significantly impacting their quality of life. Despite available conventional treatments, interest persists in alternative therapies like Homeopathy. This case series investigates the efficacy of Homeopathic interventions in managing SUI. Through consecutive sampling, with a total of 45 patients with clinically diagnosed SUI were recruited. Additionally, the study aimed to identify the most commonly prescribed remedy for this condition. Homeopathic medicines were administered based on symptom similarity. The Questionnaire for urine incontinence diagnosis (QUID) scale was used for diagnosis whereas Symptom Severity Score (SSS) Scale was utilized to evaluate the severity of SUI Before and after treatment. Thorough homeopathic consultations and personalized prescriptions led to significant reductions in SUI severity post-treatment, with mean score of SSS decreased from 7.8 before treatment to 5.3 after treatment. The findings of this study indicate that homeopathic medicines significantly help in controlling the cases of SUI.

Background: Tobacco dependence is a major health concern globally, and finding effective treatment options is essential for reducing its prevalence and associated health risks1. Aim: To study the effectiveness of individualized homeopathic medicine for reducing the tobacco dependence in age group of 18-60 years. Objectives: Primary objective: To study the effect of individualized homeopathic medicine in reduction of frequency for tobacco. Secondary objective: To find the most frequently indicated homeopathic medicine in reducing the tobacco dependency. Materials and Methods: Case series study was done among 30 subjects with Tobacco dependence randomly selected from M(N)HMC OPD and peripheral camps. Status of dependence of subjects was measured with Fagerstrom Nicotine Dependence scale. Individualized homoeopathic medicine was administered. Result: Statistical analysis was done using Paired t test. Out of 30 patients, effectiveness of Individualized homoeopathic medicine is seen in 26 patients (86.66%) and frequency & dependency remains same in 4 patients (13.33%). Conclusion: According to statistics of nicotine addiction calculated before and after intervention of individualized homoeopathic medicine for dependency and frequency of tobacco eaten per day gives the t value of 10.16 and 7.15 respectively Hence, we concluded that Individualized homoeopathic medicine is effective in reducing the tobacco dependency.
