Gout, a form of inflammatory arthritis, poses significant challenges in its management due to limited efficacy and adverse effects associated with conventional therapies. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Bacillus no.7, a probiotic agent, and individualized homeopathic medicine in the treatment of gout. A comparative interventional study was conducted on 46 patients diagnosed with gout, systematically assigned to two groups: Group A receiving individualized homeopathic medicine , Group B receiving Bacillus no. 7. ACR EULAR Criteria was utililized for screening the potential patients of gout. The primary outcome measures serum uric acid levels, assessed at baseline and follow-up visits over a period of 6 months. Secondary outcomes encompassed reduction in intensity of pain (using NPRS). Statistical analysis revealed significant improvements in pain intensity and serum uric acid levels in both intervention groups. However, significant difference was observed between Bacillus no.7 and individualized homeopathic medicine groups in terms of efficacy. Furthermore, both interventions demonstrated a favorable safety profile with minimal adverse effects. Overall, our findings suggests that individualized homeopathic medicine may offer promising alternative therapeutic options for managing gout as compared to Bacillus no.7, warranting further investigation into their mechanisms of action and long-term effects.[1][4]

Halitosis or breath odor is defined as an unpleasant or offensive odor emanating from the mouth In the general population, halitosis has a prevalence ranging from 50% in the USA to between 6% and 23% in China, and a recent study had revealed a prevalence of self- reported halitosis among Indian dental students ranging from 21.7% in males to 35.3% in females. The homoeopathic studies on halitosis are very much limited and thus the research wants to know the importance of homoeopathic management in cases of halitosis. Aim and Objectives: This research aimed primarily to explore the efficacy of Individualized Homoeopathic Medicine in cases of Halitosis of age group 3 to 18 years. The secondary objectives is to know the prevalence and to find out the most commonly indicated homeopathic medicine. Materials and Methods: A thorough case-taking process, guided by Homoeopathic principles, was conducted on 45 participants having halitosis. The Organoleptic Scale was utilized to gauge halitosis. Indicated Homoeopathic medicines were prescribed based on symptom totality. Regular assessments, follow-ups, and statistical analysis using t-tests and Microsoft Excel were integral components of the methodology. Results: The result reveals 80% participants shown improvement in halitosis after homoeopathic intervention while 20% shown resistant to the improvement and statistically the study is highly significant as collected t value (13.33) exceeded the table t value of 2.02 at 5% significance. Conclusion: The study found that the indicated homoeopathic medicines exhibited a notable effect in ameliorating the halitosis, assessed by organoleptic scale of age group 3 to 18 years.

Background Haemorrhoid complaint is a common anorectal conditions seen in day to day practice by general physician, general surgeon and gastrointestinal surgeons. It affects significant portion of global population, with roughly 80% of individuals facing this condition Objective- To find out the effectiveness of homoeopathic drugs in reducing inflexibility of symptoms, to enhance the quality of life of patient suffering from hemorrhoids and to find out the generally indicated homoeopathic drugs in the treatment of hemorrhoids. Materials and methods- This study employed case series design, exercising simple random sampling, to prove the effectiveness of homeopathic drugs in treating hemorrhoids, with data collected through symptom questionnaires, case record formats, and the Short Health Scale( SHS- HD), and follow- up assessments conducted at 15- day intervals. Result-Medicines were administered on base of symptom similarity. Among them 44 cases( 97.2) were bettered, 1 not bettered( 2.8) and Mean of Symptom questionnaire all 45 cases before intervention was 3.8 and after intervention score 1.9, this shows significant enhancement in the case. Mean of SHS- HD of 45 cases before interventions score was 20.9 and after intervention score 8.8 shows the significant enhancement in quality of life of case. The generally indicated drugs are Sulphur(17.7) Phosphorus( 15.5) Nux vomica( 13.3) Lycopodium( 11.1) Lachesis( 11.1).

pp. 42-49

Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways characterized by recurrent episodes of wheezing, breathlessness and coughing, often linked to airway hyperresponsiveness and variable airflow obstruction. This article reviews asthma’s epidemiology, risk factors, clinical features, diagnostic methods, and classification based on severity. It highlights key management strategies including pharmacological treatment, trigger avoidance, and patient self-care, aligned with GINA guidelines. The role of Homoeopathy in individualized and miasmatic management is also discussed, offering a holistic approach to care.

Background: Tobacco dependence is a major health concern globally, and finding effective treatment options is essential for reducing its prevalence and associated health risks1. Aim: To study the effectiveness of individualized homeopathic medicine for reducing the tobacco dependence in age group of 18-60 years. Objectives: Primary objective: To study the effect of individualized homeopathic medicine in reduction of frequency for tobacco. Secondary objective: To find the most frequently indicated homeopathic medicine in reducing the tobacco dependency. Materials and Methods: Case series study was done among 30 subjects with Tobacco dependence randomly selected from M(N)HMC OPD and peripheral camps. Status of dependence of subjects was measured with Fagerstrom Nicotine Dependence scale. Individualized homoeopathic medicine was administered. Result: Statistical analysis was done using Paired t test. Out of 30 patients, effectiveness of Individualized homoeopathic medicine is seen in 26 patients (86.66%) and frequency & dependency remains same in 4 patients (13.33%). Conclusion: According to statistics of nicotine addiction calculated before and after intervention of individualized homoeopathic medicine for dependency and frequency of tobacco eaten per day gives the t value of 10.16 and 7.15 respectively Hence, we concluded that Individualized homoeopathic medicine is effective in reducing the tobacco dependency.
