Role Of Homoeopathic Medicine in the case of corn, The Case Report

Charushila Gawali

A corn (also termed as clavus) is a thickening of the skin due to intermittent pressure and frictional forces. These forces result in hyperkeratosis, clinically and histologically. The extensive thickening of the skin in a corn may result in chronic pain, particularly in the forefoot. It is not a viral, bacterial or fungal disease. Corn consist of thickened layers of skin that the body has formed as a barrier to protect the skin and its inner layers from outside pressures. The first signs are generally sore, tender areas on the toes which if ignored quickly developed into corns. A majority of corns are caused as a result of the footwear a person is wearing. Here we are treating the case of Corn with the homoeopathic similimum on the basis of totality of symptoms. The case was treated with Antimonium Crudum. The Prescriber has given homoeopathic similimum. The remedy was antimonium crudum.

“To Study The Efficacy And Utility Of Natrum Mur With Special Emphasis In Urticaria.”

Dr. Ulka Hiray, Dr. Richika Nagote

Objective: The aim of this study was the efficacy and utility of Natrum Mur with special emphasis in urticaria. Methods: Simple Randomized, single blind, study design had been adopted for the study in Hospital attached to Homoeopathic medical college, A total no. of 30 individuals of all age group, of both sexes and religions presented with signs and symptoms of Urticaria were included in the study. Accordingly the various outcomes were assessed by different attributes and variables. Result: The prevalence of Urticaria was found in all age group incidence but was quite high in young age group, where there was mental psycho-emotional suppression. Natrum Mur was found to be a Positive improvement with homoeopathic treatment in urticaria. Conclusion: Homoeopathic treatment is efficacious in the treatment of urticaria significantly.

The Truth We Mortals Need

Dr. Swanand Shukla

Research plays a fundamental role in the advancement of knowledge and the continuous search for truth in science and medicine. Human progress has always been driven by the desire to explore, investigate, and understand natural phenomena through systematic inquiry. This article discusses the significance of research and development in the evolution of medical science and highlights the importance of scientific methods in establishing reliable evidence. The concept of research, which includes both basic and applied investigations, forms the foundation for innovation and improvement in healthcare practices. With the expansion of medical science, research has moved beyond laboratory settings to community based studies, allowing better understanding of disease patterns and treatment outcomes. Among various research methodologies, the Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) is considered one of the most reliable tools for evaluating the efficacy and safety of medical interventions because it minimizes bias and establishes stronger causal relationships. The article outlines essential steps involved in conducting RCTs, including protocol development, selection of study populations, randomization, intervention, follow up, and outcome assessment using statistical methods. It also addresses challenges such as external pressures, statistical errors, and difficulties in blinding certain treatments. Overall, the article emphasizes that continuous research and improved scientific methods contribute to clearer understanding, better healthcare policies, and the overall progress of mankind.

Clinical Proving

Dr. Kamlesh. P. Bagmar

Clinical proving plays an important role in the advancement of homoeopathic knowledge and therapeutic practice. Careful observation, accurate case taking, and systematic record keeping are essential components of clinical research in homoeopathy. According to the principles laid down by Samuel Hahnemann, detailed documentation of symptoms and treatment outcomes allows physicians to analyze disease progression and evaluate remedy effectiveness. This article emphasizes the significance of maintaining precise case records for retrospective analysis and clinical understanding. A case of a 22 year old female presenting with fever, weakness, headache, and later developing spasmodic cough is discussed to illustrate this approach. Various homoeopathic remedies were prescribed based on symptom totality, with Drosera providing marked relief during acute episodes of bronchitis characterized by spasmodic cough, body ache, and notable thirstlessness. The observation highlights the importance of identifying peculiar symptoms in remedy selection and suggests further evaluation of Drosera as a possible thirstless remedy in certain clinical situations. The article concludes that systematic clinical observation and documentation contribute to the refinement of materia medica and strengthen evidence in homoeopathic practice.
